During 16 years of conflict, thousands of children have been abducted and forced into the ranks of one of Africa’s most violent rebel groups, The Lord’s Resistance Army.
Lead by self styled prophet and former alter boy Jospeh Kony, this Christian fundamentalist group’s aim is to rule Uganda based on the Ten Commandments.
Over 80% of the LRA is made up of these abducted child soldiers. They are forced to brutally murder their own people, often killing and torturing their relatives.
Thousands of people in northern Uganda have been killed and over 1 million displaced.
