Meet Adela. As a nine year old girl in Afghanistan, Adela is getting an education in the hope of one day becoming a doctor and helping her country.

Thirty years of chronic instability and conflict have had a dramatic impact on children’s education and wellbeing in Afghanistan.

There are now 2.4 million Afghan girls enrolled in school, compared to 5,000 in 2001, just before the fall of the Taliban regime.
