Biography
Born: Jersey, 1973
After graduating from the University of Wales College Newport BA (Hons) Documentary Photography course in 2002, Richard has been reporting on news and humanitarian issues around the world.
He works closely with various aid agencies on crisis situations and advocacy campaigns. As well as photography Richard regulary writes stories on assignment for NGO’s reporting on their activities.
Since 2003, he has been filing news pictures for Corbis picture agency out of their Paris office.
His work has been widely published including Newsweek, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, Irish Independent and the Daily Mail. He also undertakes commissions from PR agencies and corporate clients such as HSBC, Barclays, Standard Chartered Bank, States of Jersey & Durrell Wildlife.
Exhibitions include Sunday Times Ian Parry Awards in London 2001/2002, Association of Photographers Document Awards London 2005. Amnesty International Human Rights Week Jersey 2005/2006/2007 and The Press Photographers Year 2007 in London.
