biography

Richard Wainwright portrait Richard is an award-winning photojournalist with a strong humanitarian focus. A passionate storyteller, he has been reporting on news and humanitarian issues for international aid agencies around the world, documenting their activities, writing stories and producing multimedia packages for their advocacy campaigns. Based in Perth, Western Australia Richard has over 10 years professional experience working with both photography and video. Originally from Jersey, Channel Islands, he completed a degree in Documentary Photography at UWCN, was a senior staff photographer with the Jersey Evening Post for 8 years and is a graduate of the Rotary Peace & Conflict Resolution Program. Richard is a contributing photographer for Corbis picture agency and continues working closely with aid agencies and on long term personal projects. His work has been widely published and has resulted in numerous awards and exhibitions. He is available for photo, video and multi-media assignment worldwide.
